Offseason Uniformity: New Jags Logo
The Jacksonsville Jaguars unveiled their new logo this afternoon at their state of the team get together. It's...not that bad!
Initially, I wasn't a huge fan, but after UniWatch posted a side-by-side comparison, I was much more comfortable with the new look. It just feels a lot better than the old one, although I can't put my finger on exactly why. It may be the greater level of detail on the spots that really does it, since, you know, that's how jaguars actually look. I also like that they preserved the teal tongue for the redesign.
The team also has a new alternate logo, which is really boring. They're expected to announce new uniforms at some point this offseason, and if you believe UniWatch (and you should...there's no reason not to), it'll be in mid-April. That date would put the new uniforms on the market in time for the NFL Draft, which is generally a good time for teams to get a bit of publicity for that kind of move.
Thoughts on the new look? Good? Bad? Indifferent?
