Meet Rounds Five and Six
With all three of their picks in the fifth and sixth rounds, the Packers stayed on the defensive side of the ball, picking a cornerback, a defensive lineman, and a linebacker. Here's what you should know about each one.
Micah Hyde - CB - Iowa (6'0", 197) (Twitter: @micah_hyde)
Strengths
- Effective zone defender with the closing speed and length to knock away passes or make the interception. (NFL.com)
- Aggressive run defender. Comes downhill in a hurry to chop down running backs. (NFL.com)
Weaknesses
- Average recovery speed at cornerback, must prove himself in man coverage as he will fail to stay with receivers downfield. (NFL.com)
- Ducks his head at times trying to make open-field tackles and is not a physically imposing free safety. (NFL.com)

Josh Boyd - DE - Mississippi State (6'3", 310 lbs) (Twitter: @StepStr8_97)
Strengths
- Quick-footed and rangy to make plays away from the line of scrimmage. (CBS Sports)
- Carries his weight well and looks comfortable changing directions; frequently asked to drop in space in college. (CBS Sports)
Weaknesses
- Offers a limited array of pass rush moves and is undeveloped as a pass rusher, rarely getting consistent pressure on the pocket. (CBS Sports)
- Sometimes has the bad habit of playing to the level of his competition. (CBS Sports)

Nate Palmer - LB - Illinois State (6'3", 240 lbs)
No scouting information available, but this is from the Chicago Tribune:
- "Palmer understands there is a chance he might not get drafted but remains hopeful for at least late-round consideration. The 6-foot-2, 248-pound prospect opened some eyes while working out during a pro day at Northwestern, where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds, completed 20 reps in the bench press, and posted nearly a 36-inch vertical leap."
