Championship Round Picks - What I want to happen
There’s nothing I’d like more this NFL season than to see the Bills and Commanders in the Super Bowl.
I had three wishes going into the playoffs. I wanted the Lions to lose, the Vikings to lose, and the Chiefs to lose. The first two are pretty self-explanatory. I wish nothing but misery on the rest of the NFC North. If it were up to me, I would destroy their cities and drive their fans weeping into the wilderness. There is only one true ruler in the north, and it is the mighty city of Green Bay. We do not share power. The rest of the division exists only to further our glory.
Ahem.
But I also wanted the Chiefs to lose because I’m tired of the ridiculous dynasty narrative. Yes, nobody’s won three Super Bowls in a row, but the Chiefs would not be the first three-peaters in NFL history, no matter what the talking heads want you to believe. NFL history does not start with the first Super Bowl. If you think so, you are wrong. If you cover the sport that way, you are wrong, and worse you are doing a disservice to your audience if you tell them so. If I see you writing this way or talking about football in this way, I will assume you are incompetent.
