Packers Draft Mississippi State LS Hunter Bradley With Pick 239

With the pick acquired in the Lerentee McCray trade, the Packers took yet another step in their ongoing quest to replace Brett Goode by drafting Hunter Bradley in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

What we know about Hunter Bradley

Bradley arrived at Mississippi State in 2012, hoping to make his mark as a tight end. After multiple ACL tears, that plan quickly went by the wayside. Fortunately, his dad was a former collegiate long snapper. His dad had worked with Bradley on snapping throughout his football career, and after those knee injuries, the pair ramped up their snapping practice and were able to salvage the younger Bradley’s college career.

Having already graduated with a kinesiology/clinical exercise physiology degree, Bradley played his senior season (and sixth year at MSU) while pursuing a master’s degree in workforce education leadership.

How Bradley helps the Packers

The Packers have been trying to settle their long snapper situation for some time. For all his consistency, Brett Goode has been a little too old and a little too slow for a little too long. Bradley, despite his knee injuries, should be an upgrade in those respects. If he can snap consistently between now and the end of August, the job should be his.
