Analysis: Injuries derail Hundley’s sophomore season
After a sparkling preseason as a rookie, Brett Hundley looked to build on a successful offseason with a strong showing during the Packers’ exhibition schedule.
Instead, recurring injuries kept him mostly on the sideline, robbing the second year quarterback of valuable practice time.
Then, during the regular season, Hundley played poorly in the brief relief appearances he had, completing just two of ten passing attempts.
It’s hard to truly call Hundley’s season a disappointment, since no one seriously hoped to see him play any meaningful time, but the lack of progress he showed, injury related or not, wasn’t what anyone hoped for, even Hundley. Still, there are plenty of reasons for optimism.
