Announcing The 2022 Blue 58 Podcast Scholarship

You always hear Jon Meerdink say “smarter Packers fans are better Packers fans,” and today we’re asking for your help to create more great Packers content that will help the entire fanbase root for their favorite team in a smarter, better way.

How? By starting your own Packers podcast. And we’re going to pay for it.

Today excited to announce our first-ever podcasting scholarship. We want to help you get your show off the ground, and the 2022 Blue 58 Podcast Scholarship will help you do just that. Here’s how it’s going to work.

We need you to record a pitch for the show you’d like to start. You can use your phone’s voice memo app or whatever you like to do it, but in 90 seconds or less, tell us about the show you want to start.

What makes it unique? What makes your unique take on the Packers special? Why should we support you? Tell us as much of that as you can in the time allowed.

Once you’ve got it on tape, email it to thepowersweep1959@gmail.com. Get them in by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, July 15, and we’ll pick our five favorites and share them in a future episode of Blue 58. Once we’ve got the top five, we’ll open the voting up to anyone who’d like to participate.

Here’s the really good part: whoever comes out on top will receive two great prizes. The first is an awesome microphone setup with which to record your new show. The second is a year’s worth of hosting on Acast, the podcast hosting platform we use to host Blue 58.
