Donate to The Power Sweep's 2025 Charity Drive
Welcome to the 2025 edition of The Power Sweep’s charity drive!
This has grown to become an incredible part of The Power Sweep’s larger community. Dating back to 2020, people involved in our charity drive have contributed more than $21,000 to charities of all kinds. If that ends up being the only lasting legacy of this entire project, I am more than okay with that. The work our readers and listeners have done is nothing short of incredible.
This year, we’re directing our support once again toward the Alzheimer’s Association. We’ve supported this charity in the past, and I’m excited to do so again. How can you get involved? I’m glad you asked.
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
To donate to this year’s charity drive, simply make a contribution to any branch of the Alzheimer’s Association and take a screenshot confirming your donation. Email that confirmation to thepowersweep1959@gmail.com by December 31, 2025 and we’ll include you in the prize drawing for participants.
Where DO I DONATE?
Here’s the link to donate to the Alzheimer’s Association, though there are other branch websites that may offer other benefits. The Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Association, for instance, has previously given out some Packers-related stuff in exchange for donations, though that doesn’t appear to be the case this year.
Also, be sure to click around a little bit to see if there are opportunities for matching donations. In early November, the Alzheimer’s Association sent out a promotional link for a 3x donation match running through December 31, and it looks like that is still an active effort on their part. If you’re so inclined, consider donating via that link for a bigger impact. (Thanks to reader Nick Roecker for passing along that link.)
And far be it from me to tell you how to donate your money, but some employers will match charitable donations this time of year. Check with your employer to see if that’s the case, and you may be able to get some kind of benefit for contributing in addition to the eternal goodwill of the Alzheimer’s Association and a Packers website.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I DONATE?
There’s no minimum donation, but we suggest a donation of $10. There is no obligation to donate more than that. Any donation of any amount will make you eligible for prizes.
OKAY, SO WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH THESE PRIZES?
If you give to our charities, we want to give back to you. We have 25 prizes to give to randomly selected participants in our charity drive. Here’s what’s up for grabs:

Why the Alzheimer’s Association?
Why bother supporting this charity over any other? Honestly, if you’re inclined to donate elsewhere, by all means do so. This is a season of giving, and if you’d rather direct your contributions to another charity, that’s fine. But to be eligible for the prize drawing, I’d like you to donate to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Alzheimer’s has affected both my family and my wife’s family, and we’re currently helping a close family member who’s battling this disease. I’m supporting the Alzheimer’s Association because this hits especially close to home. I want to support their efforts, and I want people who find themselves dealing with this disease to know that there are other people out there thinking about them and rooting for them.
