Help bring back polling to The Power Sweep
For several years, The Power Sweep worked on what I think was a pretty ambitious project. Every week during the regular season, we polled Packers fans on their opinions about key figures within the Packers and compiled that data over the course of a season, then subsequently over several years.
You can see the results of that research here, and I think it’s pretty cool.
We did all of that polling via Twitter (now X), and as the site’s usability has cratered (and people have begun to leave the site) over the past couple of years, our ability to do polling via Twitter has cratered with it. That’s why I reluctantly suspended polling last year, and spent most of the season exploring alternative options.
As it turns out, Substack offers some fairly robust options for audience polling. So, with your help, I’m tentatively planning to re-launch our polling efforts through substack this year.
How can you help? I need you to sign up to receive The Power Sweep’s Substack newsletter. Every week (and as often as we post an article about other topics, too), you’ll get an email with that week’s poll. Just fill it out and your data will be included. But you have to sign up to receive the newsletter here.
Please note: you do not have to join the paid tier to do this! (Though if you did I wouldn’t complain, and you can get benefits similar to what you’d get through our Patreon if you do.)
I’d like to have at least 100 Substack subs active before fully committing to polling this year, so if you’re reading this and enjoyed our Packers polling data in the past, please sign up. Thank you!
