How much have the Packers changed since the last time they played the Eagles?

It was an unremarkable play in an otherwise unremarkable game that set the Packers on the path they’re on today.

In the second quarter of the Packers’ 2022 showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles, Aaron Rodgers went down on a relatively routine sack, only to get up in considerable pain. Already nursing a broken thumb, Rodgers gutted it out until midway through the third quarter before throwing in the towel.

And just like that, the Jordan Love era was underway.

Brian Gutekunst has said since that Love’s performance that night, though not enough to win the game, was enough to convince him that his 2020 first-round pick had the goods. Love went 6-of-9 passing that cold November evening, piling up 113 yards and a score as he did his level best to rally the Packers against the then 9-1 Eagles, who were on their way to a Super Bowl appearance.
