Thank You For Reading The Power Sweep!
One year ago, we officially launched The Power Sweep.
When you have no idea how something is going to turn out, it’s hard to have expectations. That was certainly the case with this website. When we published our first post, we had no idea how things would turn out.
After all, Gary and I had both been writing about the Packers for more than a decade already with little to show for it. What’s to say this project would be any different?
A year later, it’s been different in almost every conceivable way, and that’s all thanks to the people who have taken the time to read and share the things we’ve been doing at The Power Sweep.
Our goal in all of this has been simple: we wanted to cover the Green Bay Packers differently than anybody else. That’s not to say we thought we could do it better (although in some cases I think we do). We just wanted to give everyone who reads and talks about the Packers on the internet something a little bit different.
I think we’ve done that. I hope you agree.
A year after publishing our first post, I think we’ve finally achieved what I set out to do when I launched my very first Packers blog. We’ve given the internet a different take on the Packers, and we’ve had fun as we’ve done it.
Now, heading into our second season, we’ve grown beyond what I could ever have expected. We have more than 4,500 fans on Facebook, a loyal podcast following, a fully funded Patreon drive, a published ebook, and a store. A store for crying out loud.
Can you believe that? I can’t.
So from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for reading and listening and sharing and reaching out via email and social media. I hoped people would read what we wrote when we started. You have.
And because of your support, we can’t help but be even more excited for what this season hold.
