Devante Mays joins the Packers in the seventh round after an up and down college career.

Mays is 5-10 1/2, 230 pounds. 40-time: 4.52. Bench: 22. Vertical: 40 1/2. JC transfer who got hurt senior year, playing in just 6 games.

The Packers never like to be reactionary, but their repeated running back picks seem to indicate a reaction to a running back shortage last season.

Eagle-eyed Packers fans would have suspected Mays as a possible pick or priority free agent. He visited with the Packers before the draft.
