What the Experts Say About Packers CB Kevin King

The Packers selected cornerback Kevin King with the first selection of the second round, a player many expected Green Bay to take with their first round pick.

Here’s what the internet had to say about King:

First off, a lot of praise for Ted Thompson and the Packers.

Here's what an AFC scout said about King to the Journal Sentinel's Bob McGinn:

“I see him as a solid second-rounder. Hard to see first round with him. Thin and long. He was good at reading hips. Instinctive player. Good break. Thought he could recover. Flashes short burst, especially for his size. Ball aware. Liked him in press. Leaky tackler. He had willingness to tackle. It was just his frame. He kind of slid down the pole a little bit. He’d tackle up high but just didn’t have enough force to get him down.”

There’s a lot to like about King, but he does have a history of concussions.

Good luck, rook.

The newest Packers defensive back played two seasons at safety for Washington.

Already, we’ve discovered a few connections to the Packers.

And it looks like King is happy to be in Green Bay.
