687 - Packers Come Up Short in Atlanta
After overpowering the Chicago Bears in Week 1, the Packers came up short against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2. Was it simply a case of running out of bodies or was there more at work here?
How did the Packers lose? (00:35)
The Packers fell to the Falcons thanks to a cascading series of issues. No unit on an NFL team is an island, and the Packers’ offense let down the defense and vice versa.
Two good things (5:02)
What went well for the Packers? Through three quarters, Jordan Love looked solid and two rookie receivers were doing big things.
Four bad things (8:21)
It wasn’t all good, and between the Packers’ inability to go deep, the defense’s inability to stop the run and AJ Dillon’s inability to stay on his feet, there wasn’t much chance to come out on top.
Rookie review (24:57)
The Packers got a lot from their rookie pass catchers early but Luke Musgrave disappeared down the stretch. Add in an injury to Lukas Van Ness and it’s a pretty mixed bag for the Packers’ rookie this week.
Emptying the notebook (28:02)
Notes on the Falcons’ throwbacks, Jordan Love’s mobility, and Rasul Douglas climbing the Packers’ all-time interception leaderboard.
