Best Look/Worst Look - AFC West Edition
We’ve done it! We’ve arrived at the end of our uniform tour of the AFC. Today we dive into the AFC West, which is rich with classic looks.
There aren’t really any alternate looks to speak of in this division, especially considering the Broncos’ uniforms are brand new, so we only have to avoid throwbacks. Funnily enough, that’s also pretty easy to do, since most of the uniforms in this division are essentially throwbacks anyway. And they look great, so let’s get started!
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs are a very solid entry in “ain’t broke” category. They’re red, white, and yellow and they’ve changed very little over the years.
Their overall uniform package is very good, but I think the Chiefs are at their best when they downplay their bold colors a bit. Their red and yellow are so vibrant that they work best as accents rather than main colors. That’s why I think the Chiefs’ white on white outfits are their best.
And, as you might expect, the Chiefs are at their worst in their red on red ensembles. It’s just too much! At least we can be thankful that they haven’t trotted out yellow pants…yet.
